Photo Rejuvenation

Also known as a photo facial, photo rejuvenation is a popular treatment for women and men who are looking for a quick, efficient procedure that will take years off their appearance and offer an enormous confidence boost.

Gone are the days when dilated blood vessels, age spots, freckles, and fine lines need to be accepted as part of “getting older”—here at Advanced Vein Treatment & Cosmetic Center, we believe that everyone deserves to look as young as they feel.

We perform photo rejuvenation using the Sciton BroadBand Light Laser to target hemoglobin (the red blood cells in the blood vessels) and/or melanin (skin pigment) in the skin to lighten and refresh the facial appearance. The light beam is absorbed into the body and disperses the color, resulting in a naturally lighter look. Photo rejuvenation is a recommended treatment for the following conditions:

  • Age spots
  • Sun spots
  • Hyper-pigmentation
  • Rosacea
  • Acne
  • Reducing large pores
  • Sun damage
  • Stretch marks

Photo rejuvenation treatments are typically performed over the course of several appointments, as treatments at regular intervals ensure the quality and longevity of the effect. A common question associated with this procedure (as with many cosmetic procedures) is “Does it hurt?” Typically, the answer is “no.” Treatments typically take 30- 90 minutes. During the treatment, patients report a mild discomfort and are generally most aware of the sensation of the laser on their skin at the first appointment. Subsequent treatments are even more easily tolerated.

Immediately following a photo rejuvenation treatment, redness and a slightly darker overall appearance to the treated areas is common for anywhere from two days to two weeks. Remember: you’re targeting a specific area of your face with a laser to dispel red blood cells and/or darkened skin pigment. There is going to be a period of healing, and the change will occur over the course of 3-5 treatments. Professionalism and attention to detail are of the utmost importance throughout this procedure, and we encourage anyone considering a photo rejuvenation to schedule a consultation so that we can answer your questions and get you excited about seeing real and lasting results!
